going out during finals

I have gone out a decent amount this finals period. Last year during finals, going out for me was going to the gym, or to Tower Records for sour punch straws. However, this year I have only one exam (art law) and one paper (first amendment), and I have had more than my share of free time to go out. Technically I also have a paper for my Sports Law class, but when the professor tells me it's not due until February 1st, there is no way in hell I'm getting it done during finals weeks.

There have been a couple of nights recently where I wanted to go out, but couldn't find anyone else who wanted to. My non law school friends don't tend to go out on weeknights, or live in Brooklyn and my law school friends are, well, studying for finals. One of my friends at a law school on the west coast scoffed at me, mostly for thinking I would find people to go out with me during finals. She thinks it's kind of weird to want to go out so much. She also has more finals than me.

There is no point to this post, other than to note that I finally found people to go out with last night. I think it's been awhile since I closed down a bar, and I did it without even realizing. I'm not sure that staying out until 4:30 was a great idea, but here I am at the library getting ready to do work. No harm, no foul, right?
