veronica mars rules

almost 10 years ago, i was on a spring break trip with my lacrosse team. one morning while getting ready the jerry springer show was the background noise. i abhored his show and those types of talk shows, and was not psyched to be watching. anyway, long story short i end up getting totally hooked in by this guy in the audience (he may have been a guest, i just can't remember) who kept yelling, "you gotta reckanize. reckanize, reckanize." over and over again. it was hilarious. it became our buzzword of the season. you gotta reckanize!

so yesterday i'm watching veronica mars from a couple weeks ago (the cult one) and one of the characters says to another, "reckanize." and the other character's response is something along the lines of him sounding like a jerry springer guest. now i'm wondering if one of the writers happened to see that episode, and immortalized it in their mind the same way i did. or, perhaps many guests used this phrase, and i don't know that because i only saw one episode. either way, i felt the way i do when dalton mentions martika in all of his columns. (don't pretend you don't remember her--toy soldiers? more than you know? classic)
