my post of nothing (and yay wpbt)
my sirius just buzzed, letting me know that one of my "s-seek" songs is playing on a channel. i can program some small number of songs so that anytime they play on a channel i receive an alert. i need it to be triple or quadruple the size, but i'll take what i can get. sometimes i ignore the song, but sirius doesn't play "we used to be friends" by the dandy warhols all that often. half the time i'm listening to left of center anyway, but i had howard stern on.
for those who don't know (um, that would be every one of my small audience of readers) this was the theme of veronica mars (rip), an awesome tv show, and by far the best show to grace the cw network. (gilmore girls was good before it moved to cw, and gossip girl is showing some early potential, but it's no vm). i am a little wistful every time i hear the song, and just this morning saw my mom at breakfast and urged her to watch the dvd of season 1 that i so graciously loaned her before i went to a'dam (well over a year ago). in her defense, she did watch the wire and sped through it in record time, because once she started watching, she couldn't stop. (ahem, readers, GO WATCH THE WIRE).
after fuel's post yesterday i priced flights to vancouver for that poker tournament over thanksgiving, but i do not have a spare $2500 for the buy in. :(
normally i spend thanksgiving with my parents at one cousin or another's house, but this year my parents are going to egypt. i was supposed to go w/ them, but don't have enough vacation days, and i know i'll make it there some other time. i have been contemplating a trip somewhere since i have the days off, but thanksgiving is an expensive time to fly, and i'm going to be using up the remainder of my vacay days for the poker blogger gathering in december. so i guess it will be good ole jersey for me!
as for wpbt, my hotel and flight are booked, so it's a done deal. hurray! ck and i are staying at harrah's, which is close to ip. looking forward to seeing some old friends, some new friends, and a retard. i arrive wed night and leave mon night, so a good amount of time to get my poker on and drink the bloggers under the table.
some poker content -- i lost to set over set yesterday, but unlike my horrible Qs over 6s hand, this one i called only called a raise to $4 pf, but my set of 9s was no match for the set of Ks. argh! i thought i had him! on the bright side i hit a set of 8s against KK at a different table and held up, so can't complain too much.
i repeated an old mistake and got stacked when my AQ hit a top pair of Qs against a set of Qs. awesome! i am convinced that i have the ability deep within me to stop needlessly spewing chips with tptk, but it is a long hard slog.

I was reading some of your past posts and you said you were trying to figure out how to get rake-back on FTP even though you already have an account setup. Just wondering if you figured out a way to do that? Thanks.
