so frustrated

i played a $5 rebuy super sat into the $150 ftops 8 sat. i spent $20 including the add on, and on my way to a seat had kaja next to me for awhile. i doubled him up once when he jammed on my bb and i had K4, but was not the one to take him out.

i don't remember too many hands from the $150 satellite, but that is because i am still steaming from my 5th place exit. yup, four paid, and i went out 5th. i became a short stack on this hand.

i watched one guy who was down to about 600 at the final table somehow become the chip leader. that was sick. then a big stack jammed on my bb. the sb to my right would have about 600 more in chips than me once i was the sb, and even though i thought about folding, i had AT and decided to pray that i could double up. the jammer had 73 and of course the flop came 73x. i picked up a straight draw on the turn, but instead he rivered his full house and i was out on the bubble.

i cashed for $355 and also busted pearljammed, so hoping that's good for another $150. but i'm still feeling really sick about it. i could fold there and hope i pick up a better hand, or hope the other shortie jams first and loses. sigh.

that poker blogger tournament on stars was sick for me also. i had about 50k in chips, and was out in about 4 minutes. i raised too little w/ my KK, and when A flopped i put out cbet and stupidly (horribly) called a jam. he had A3 for not one but two pair, and i jammed a few hands later and was done. pretty annoyed at myself on that b/c i considered jamming w/ KK, and in any event i should have raised way more. unbelievable that a dude limps w/ A3 utg and then i play so stupidly that keep him around to make two pair.

Unfortunately I don't think you get your buyin refunded for satellite tournaments, LJ.

I really want to play in FTOPS #8 but it's hard to have to win your way into those $150 satellites and then you have to finish near the top in that satellite as well. That's proving to be a tougher task than I was hoping.

Best of luck, hope I see you at the final table of one of these sometime soon.

actually, the bounty was already in my account when i just logged on!! i am pretty bummed about getting so close, but i thought the $150 was really soft, and hope to play in it again when timing permits.
