goooooo giants
un - freaking- believable! i had a blast watching the game w/ my die hard giants fan friends, and still can't really believe that eli brought the giants to a superbowl title against the undefeated pats. wooooooooooooooooooooooot.
i got home and fired up the $75 ko along with a few $11 90 person kos. i went out 20th in one, and 15th in the other, which was painful. i am getting so close and dominating these things, only to get coolered or retardly beat. in the one where i went out 15th, i jammed a button raiser who had been pretty active from my bb w/ A8s. not the best hand, but i think his range is super wide on the button. he has 5k total, so he's calling 4k more into a pot of about 6k. and he makes the call, w/ QJo. i out flop him w/ an 8, but he turns a J to double through me. i had him covered by about 4k, but ended up having to jam w/ almost atc when blinds and antes continued to go up quickly. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. i know i don't need to make that move there, but that's one of the best way to get chips in these things, and i still can't believe he's calling for his tournament life with no pot odds w/ QJ offsuit.
i tried not to tilt too badly (with some help from lucko) and maintained my stack in the 16.5ko. i was crushed when i lost a race w/ QQ v. AK with about three or four tables left, which dropped me to way below average. i somehow kept myself alive, and finally got a bb w/ 86 to get all his chips in w/ a pair of sixes on the flop against my JJ and doubled up. unfortunately, i was bubble girl ONCE AGAIN. we were five handed and a super aggro player raised from utg. he'd been raising a ton, and when i saw KQ in the sb i figured i was way ahead of his range and jammed. he snap called w/ TT, and while i was bummed to see i was racing, i could not hit and was out in 10th. i had made a really bad call earlier w/ 99 v. KK and was frustrated with myself from that, but i don't think the KQ play was terrible, considering how much he'd been raising. it just hurt to once again barely miss a final table. lately i've been going out 12th, 13th, 15th, etc. like it's going out of style.
i'm going to try and play the math tonight, though i'm pretty tired since last night's tournament went pretty late. i was also excited to play in the huc6 that alan organized, however it is clearly rigged, since in my first ever huc i drew the defending champ. wtf! i watched him win 8 straight hu matches last night, so obv he's due for some losses. :-)
