1) don't believe your landlord when told a leak is fixed. for the fourth time. you will still get home from vacation to a disgusting, water stained wall and a wet mattress. then get told by landlord that you are the one acting irrationally when you question why a plumber has not been called to do the work, and instead the building contractor, who hasn't even seen the damage or pipes, is calling the shots.
2) ireland is fun! they certainly live it up over there. i went to a birthday party for a 90 year old woman that started at 10pm, and the guest of honor finally left around 3am. wtf? my dad, almost a third younger, can barely stay awake past 8pm.
3) i finished third in the math last night. it was a horribly long three-handed match, and i finally went out when i checked top pair on the flop and astin hit his two-outer on the turn (natch).
4) i played poker once while i was on vacation in amsterdam (shout out holland casino!). it was my highest limit ever (5/5 nl). i bought in short for 250 and finished the night up over one thousand euros. i think i played about twenty hands total in 3-4 hours. i'm so tight. i tripled up and then some w/ KK against AJ, QQ, and some guy who didn't show his hand. i made a re-raise against a big stack w/ JJ and an oesd on flop and got KK to lay down (well, he said he laid it down) and i hit straight on turn. the other guy who was all in didn't show. then i got called down on all three streets when i had KQ and top pair by K7 and scooped a 600 euro pot. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
5) i lost my second round hu match. subzero won the first one quickly when we got all in pre w/ 99 v. KK. i won the second one when i turned the nut flush and he rivered a straight. third one was epic, and he had me to the ropes early when my AK was no match for his AA all in pre (dfjkladjgaslk;f). i then had the lead for a good part of it, came back numerous times from the almost dead, but couldn't put it away.
6) going back to work after a long vacation sucks.

Apartment crap sucks.
I need to take a vacation to Ireland. Only part of the UK I've not been to.
no reference about stealing my chips on back to back mega suckouts in the MATH!? At least I can rest easy knowing my chips got someone into the money ;)
didn't think jamming my nut flush draw with an over was considered a real suckout against your top pair, and you were short when i had JT against K8. reference made! :-)

Love that we both described the 3rd game as 'epic'!
Hope all is well back at the apartment with no more leaks, plumbers or landlords...
